Playgroups

Playgroups are a great way for moms to get together once a week, while the kids can get to experience socializing with other children. For many moms, particularly stay-at-home-moms, playgroups provide a vital lifeline to other adults who can support each other.

Playgroups are arranged for the following age groups:

  • Baby - 1 year
  • 1 - 2 year
  • 2 - 3 year
  • 3 - school age
Interested in joining a playgroup? E-mail the playgroup coordinator
Playgroup Etiquette:

You must be a Mothers & More member before joining a playgroup.

Playgroups will run according to the school calendar year i.e.: September-June.  Summer playgroups may run on an adhoc basis.

Playgroups generally run once per week for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

Playgroups take place at the members home on a roster basis but may have other venues as determined and agreed to by the members of an individual playgroup.

Members to please be considerate of the hostess' house rules; including where children are to play, eat snacks etc...

No sick children at playgroup-this includes; no fever for 24 hours, no vomiting or diarrhea for 24 hours, no productive cough or excessive nasal discharge.

Please advise the hostess whether or not you are attending the playgroup at least one day in advance.

Playgroup numbers to be determined by each playgroup, however members wishing to join a playgroup may not be refused entry.  In this case a vote may be necessary to decide to remain a large group or to split the group.

No parties to be held during playgroups as this is unfair to new members joining a playgroup

Please address problems and concerns to the playgroup leader or the playgroup coordinator.
